Does FastPix handle creator payouts?

No. Payments, subscriptions, revenue share and payouts sit with Stripe, RevenueCat or your own ledger. FastPix reports views and watch time per creator when you tag uploads with a creator ID, which is the input a payout calculation needs, but the calculation and the transfer are yours.

How do I gate a post to paying members only?

Public posts get an open playback ID. Members-only posts require a signed JWT your service mints after checking that viewer's subscription to that creator. Signing is per asset, so a subscriber to one creator cannot reach another creator's paid posts.

What happens when a subscription lapses?

Your service stops signing tokens for that viewer, and playback stops at the next request. Tokens carry a short expiry, five minutes by default, and rotating the signing key invalidates every outstanding token at once.

What formats and file sizes can creators upload?

Whatever came out of their camera or editor, including 4K with no file-size ceiling. Resumable upload means a dropped connection resumes rather than restarts, and you can cap max resolution per upload so one creator shooting 4K does not set your delivery bill.

How does moderation work on creator uploads?

Moderation analyses sampled frames and audio and returns thirteen categories scored 0 to 1, at $0.10 per minute. It does not hold publication: the asset is created, analysis runs, then video.mediaAI.moderation.ready fires and your service decides. Create assets private and open them once the result clears. Accuracy is tuned for short-form, and the docs advise checking whether long videos need it at all.

Do you generate thumbnails and chapters automatically?

Yes. Thumbnails can be pulled at any timestamp and animated previews generated per video, and chapters generate from the video itself. Creators can override either with their own upload, which most platforms allow because a custom thumbnail is the biggest lever a creator has on click-through.

Is the analytics for my creators or for me?

For you. FastPix reports playback data to your platform, and you decide what appears in a creator studio. Tag uploads with a creator ID and watch time, completion and the retention curve roll up per creator in your own database. There is no creator-facing dashboard in FastPix and no per-creator view inside it.

Can I search across the whole catalog?

Not from FastPix. Metadata is stored and returned on every read but not indexed, so catalog search runs against your own database or search service. Captions and chapters give you the text to index against. A catalog-wide Search Agent exists in early access.
