Yes. Completion is based on coverage, the unique seconds a student actually watched, so skipping to the end does not count.

We kept watching teams rebuild the same video plumbing.

Every team we met running courses on Moodle wanted the same things: streaming that holds up on a phone, captions, privacy, and a real read on who watched. Getting there by hand is weeks of webhook, completion, and player work, and it is the same weeks at every institution.

So we built it once and gave it away as a Moodle plugin.

A YouTube channel, now a Moodle course

He had years of tutorials on YouTube and wanted real, structured courses on Moodle. He did not want to re-download and re-upload everything, and YouTube embeds gave him no privacy or completion data. In each FastPix Video activity he pasted a video's YouTube URL, FastPix pulled it in directly, and lesson by lesson his playlists became courses. The videos came out better than they were on YouTube: adaptive, captioned, private to enrolled learners, and finally trackable.

K-12 PROVIDER · GRADED VIDEO, NO PLATFORM

Graded video without a video team

This provider wanted real video in K-12 lessons but did not want to run a video platform. Uploads bloated their Moodle site and only showed who opened a video, and YouTube put school content on a public platform with no tracking. They added lessons as FastPix Video activities; uploads go straight to FastPix, each lesson arrives captioned and trackable, and the gradebook reflects who genuinely watched.

COLLEGE · ACCESSIBILITY DEADLINE

A back-catalog captioned in time

With ADA Title II enforceable and years of recorded lectures, the college had to caption everything, and hand-captioning was not going to happen in time. They turned on auto-generated captions in the FastPix Video activity, so new lectures arrived captioned on upload and the back-catalog moved toward the standard the same way, reviewing only the high-stakes videos by hand.

Certificates that prove a real watch

For training that ends in a certificate, "opened the video" was not good enough. Their old setup marked a module complete on open, so a certificate could go to someone who never watched. They switched to the FastPix Video activity with a watch-percentage requirement and automatic grading, so completion gates the certificate and the grade separates a full watch from a minimum-then-skip, none of it scored by hand.
