FastPix video security
Stop video piracywith multi-DRM and signed playback
FastPix protects your video library with signed URLs, domain and user agent locks, and multi-DRM, built into the same API you upload and stream with.

Trusted by product teams shipping video at scale

How it works
Protect your whole library.
Keep playback instant for viewers.
Four layers work together on every play, in the same API you already use for upload and streaming.
Signed playback URLs
Links expire and open one video, so shared links go dead.
DRM
Downloaded files stay encrypted and will not play.
Domain locks
Your videos play only on the sites and apps you list.
Private storage
No viewer link ever shows where your files live.
Security architecture
How a protected video is stored and played
Video content protection
Everything FastPix video security does,
from upload to playback
Stop link sharing with signed playback URLs
Your server signs a short-lived token after login. The link opens one video, then stops working.

Make downloads useless with multi-DRM
Every chunk is encrypted at transcode. Widevine, FairPlay and PlayReady unlock it only on a licensed device.

Stop hotlinking with domain locks
Allow your own sites. Every other domain gets refused before a single frame is served.

Lock playback to your own apps with user agent rules
Allow only your apps' exact user agents, or deny specific clients. Every other request gets refused. User agents can be faked, so pair these rules with signed playback.

Free previews and paid tiers from one upload
Give each playback ID its own access level and quality cap. Delete one to revoke it instantly.

On by default
Secure video hosting on every video.
Nothing to switch on.
These protections run on every playback request, public videos included.
Encrypted chunk URLs
Each chunk gets its own AES-256-GCM token
Tamper-proof URLs
Edit one character and the signature fails
Expiring links
Old links stop working on their own
Private storage
Only FastPix can reach your files
Visible watermark
Your mark burned into every rendition
Quality caps
480p to 4K, set per playback ID
Instant revoke
Delete a playback ID, new plays stop
Rule-change webhooks
Know the moment access rules change

Signed playbackVideo security FAQ
Questions buyers ask before going to production
What is video DRM?
Encryption that lets a video play only on a device holding a license. FastPix issues Widevine, FairPlay and PlayReady licenses after your signed token checks out.
Is download and screen capture prevented on all devices?
With DRM, downloads will not play, and screen capture is blocked on devices that support it. Nothing stops a camera pointed at a screen, so add a visible watermark.
How do I secure a video stream?
Set a private or DRM playback ID, sign a short-lived token after login, and allow only your domains. FastPix encrypts and expires every link on top.
Is every video chunk encrypted?
Every chunk URL is encrypted on every video, so it cannot be read or edited. The chunk content itself is encrypted with DRM, at transcode, and the key reaches only licensed devices.
