The ceilings no plan lifts
Three of the four publish a language count with no list behind it. LumiClip claims 30+ languages on a site that names none of them. Choppity claims 97+ on a comparison page. Spikes Studio claims 99+. quso.ai names 18 in its help centre, while claiming 50+, 100+ and 99 on three other pages of its own.
Then there is what you are allowed to send. LumiClip's API accepts a YouTube URL and publishes no upload endpoint, so a recording that lives on your own servers cannot reach it through the API at all. quso.ai publishes no API. Choppity holds API access until the Creator plan, two tiers up. Spikes Studio lists several endpoints as coming soon.
A ceiling you can see on the pricing page is a decision. A ceiling you find after you have built against it is a migration.
What we compared, and why
Export resolution: because 1080p on every plan means a 4K source comes back smaller than it went in. Language coverage: because "30+ languages" with no list cannot be checked against the language you actually need. File upload: because an API that only takes a YouTube URL cannot reach a video stored on your own servers. Max source duration: because a full recording is inadmissible on more plans than you would expect. Media retention: because a clip that deletes itself in three days is not a library. Metering and published pricing: because credits charged on source length behave differently from credits charged on what you publish, and because a plan listed at two prices cannot be budgeted.

Limitations
- The language count is published four ways: 50+ on the FAQ, 100+ on the subtitle generator page, 99 in the help centre welcome article, and "over 20" in the article that lists them, where 18 are named
- Of those 18, Hindi is the only South Asian language
- Supported formats are video containers, so an audio-only show has nothing to upload
