Threshold billing collects usage charges mid-cycle
Threshold billing collects usage charges mid-cycle
FastPix now uses threshold billing for usage-based charges. Usage is normally totaled at the end of your monthly billing cycle. With threshold billing, once your usage charges cross your account’s billing threshold during the month, we collect a payment for the usage so far right away instead of waiting for the end of the cycle.
This is not an extra fee. You only pay for usage you have already consumed, just earlier, and any mid-cycle payment is deducted from your end-of-cycle invoice, so you are never billed twice for the same usage.
What’s new:
-
Billing threshold: each account has a threshold that reflects its billing history, so newer accounts start lower with smaller, more frequent payments.
-
Automatic increases: as your account builds a record of successful, on-time payments, your threshold rises automatically, meaning fewer mid-cycle charges, or none at all.
-
Credits applied first: free plan allowances and promotional or wallet credits are applied before we check whether you have crossed your threshold.
-
Subscription fees excluded: only usage-based charges count toward your threshold, and subscription and renewal fees are billed on your normal cycle date.
-
Dashboard visibility: your billing summary shows what has been charged this cycle and the remaining expected cost, and every mid-cycle charge has its own invoice in your billing history.
