Import and organize content
Before scheduling your channel, upload your media and organize it for playback. This guide explains how to import media into FastPix and prepare it for Cloud Playout.
Upload your videos
Go to Media in the FastPix dashboard.
You can:
- Directly upload videos from your computer (Push video)
- Or Import media from a URL (Pull video)
FastPix supports both options. If you are bringing in files from your cloud library or sourcing content from elsewhere, the URL upload is fast and super handy.
After the upload is complete, your media appears in the media library.
To make your media easier to organize later, add metadata such as tags, categories, or descriptions. You can use this metadata when creating smart playlists.
Create a playlist
After uploading your media, organize it for your channel.
You can:
- Add media directly to a channel when creating a channel.
- Create a playlist to organize and reuse media across multiple channels.
Playlists are optional. They help you organize large media libraries and reuse content across multiple channels.
FastPix supports two playlist types:
- Manual playlists, where you choose the media and playback order.
- Smart playlists, which automatically include media that matches the filters you define.
For example, you can create a smart playlist that automatically groups media based on tags, metadata, or upload dates. This makes it easier to organize and reuse content as your media library grows.
NOTE
A maximum of 1,000 videos can be added to a playlist.
