# Get video chapters

GET https://api.fastpix.com/v1/ai/{mediaId}/chapters

This endpoint retrieves the AI-generated chapters for an existing media. Each chapter contains start and end timestamps, a title, and a brief summary that can be used to build chapter navigation or a structured content overview.

#### How it works

1. Send a `GET` request to this endpoint, replacing `<mediaId>` with the ID of the media.
2. The response includes the job status and the generated chapters.

**Use case**: Use this endpoint to retrieve chapters for a video or other processed media.
