# Get program by ID

GET https://api.fastpix.com/v1/cloud-playout/channels/{channelId}/programs/{programId}

This endpoint retrieves a single program on a Cloud Playout loop channel, using the channel's and the program's unique identifiers.

#### How it works

1. Make a GET request to this endpoint, replacing `{channelId}` and `{programId}` with the UUIDs of the channel and the program.

2. The response contains the program, including its position in the loop, the number of items it holds, and their combined duration.

The program has to belong to the channel named in the path. A program that belongs to a different channel or workspace is not returned.

#### Example

Before adding another episode to a block, an operator retrieves the program to check how long it already runs.

## Authentication

- `channelId` (string, required) — The unique identifier of the loop channel the program belongs to.
- `programId` (string, required) — The unique identifier of the program, returned by FastPix when the program was created.

- `success` (boolean, optional) — Shows the request status. Returns true for success and false for failure.
- `data` (CloudPlayoutProgram, optional) — A program on a Cloud Playout loop channel.

## Types

### CloudPlayoutProgram

A program on a Cloud Playout loop channel.

- `id` (string, optional) — The unique identifier FastPix assigns to the program.
- `index` (double, optional) — The program's position in the channel's loop. Programs are played in ascending order of index.
- `name` (string, optional) — The name given to the program.
- `channelId` (string, optional) — The unique identifier of the channel the program belongs to.
- `mediaCount` (integer, optional) — The number of items currently in the program.
- `duration` (string, optional) — The combined duration of the program's content, formatted as `HH:MM:SS`, or `HH:MM:SS.mmm` when the total includes a fraction of a second.
- `workspaceId` (string, optional) — The unique identifier of the workspace the program was created in.
- `createdAt` (datetime, optional) — Time the program was created, defined as a localDateTime (UTC Time).
- `updatedAt` (datetime, optional) — Time the program was last updated, defined as a localDateTime (UTC Time).
