The media are appended to the end of the program, in the order they appear in the request, and the channel plays them in that order each time it reaches the program. #### How it works 1. Add the media to your workspace through the Media APIs and wait until each one reaches the `ready` status. 2. Make a POST request to this endpoint with the `mediaIds` of the assets you want to add. 3. FastPix reads each media's duration and adds it to the program, updating the program's item count and total duration. Each media asset has to exist in the same workspace, be in the `ready` status, and have a public access policy. Media that was split into segments cannot be added to a program directly. #### Channel duration limit The combined duration of everything scheduled on a channel cannot exceed the channel's own run time. FastPix rejects any request that would take the channel past that limit, and adds none of the media in it. #### Example A broadcaster adds the four episodes that make up the morning block, in playout order, to the program that represents that part of the loop. Use your Access Token ID as the username and Secret Key as the password in the Authorization header of each API request. * Username: Access Token ID * Password: Secret Key Activate your FastPix account to generate your API credentials. See the guide here ## Request ### Path parameters - `channelId` (string, required) — The unique identifier of the loop channel the program belongs to. - `programId` (string, required) — The unique identifier of the program the media is added to. ### Body (application/json) This endpoint expects a CloudPlayoutProgramMediaRequest. - `mediaIds` (list of string, required) — The unique identifiers of the media assets to add, in the order they should play. Each one must exist in the same workspace, be in the `ready` status, and have a public access policy. ## Response ### 201 Media added to the program successfully - `success` (boolean, optional) — Shows the request status. Returns true for success and false for failure. - `data` (CloudPlayoutProgram, optional) — A program on a Cloud Playout loop channel. ## Types ### CloudPlayoutProgram A program on a Cloud Playout loop channel. - `id` (string, optional) — The unique identifier FastPix assigns to the program. - `index` (double, optional) — The program's position in the channel's loop. Programs are played in ascending order of index. - `name` (string, optional) — The name given to the program. - `channelId` (string, optional) — The unique identifier of the channel the program belongs to. - `mediaCount` (integer, optional) — The number of items currently in the program. - `duration` (string, optional) — The combined duration of the program's content, formatted as `HH:MM:SS`, or `HH:MM:SS.mmm` when the total includes a fraction of a second. - `workspaceId` (string, optional) — The unique identifier of the workspace the program was created in. - `createdAt` (datetime, optional) — Time the program was created, defined as a localDateTime (UTC Time). - `updatedAt` (datetime, optional) — Time the program was last updated, defined as a localDateTime (UTC Time). ## Examples **Request** ```json { "mediaIds": [ "398edd49-322c-4f06-b596-37ba7ddff0be", "075bf22c-6261-4dc4-9795-83374ff83495" ] } ``` **Response** ```json { "success": true, "data": { "id": "d85083a0-e935-4c29-9c32-6720bdc9b22f", "index": 10, "name": "Morning block", "channelId": "cc99cae6-56b4-46ab-9f4a-8b2462d8137c", "mediaCount": 0, "duration": "00:00:00", "workspaceId": "37d62550-e2a5-4827-b16a-3826e66d77ad", "createdAt": "2025-03-12T06:17:26.403017Z", "updatedAt": "2025-03-12T06:17:26.403017Z" } } ``` **SDK Code** ```python import requests url = "https://api.fastpix.com/v1/cloud-playout/channels/cc99cae6-56b4-46ab-9f4a-8b2462d8137c/programs/d85083a0-e935-4c29-9c32-6720bdc9b22f/media" payload = { "mediaIds": ["398edd49-322c-4f06-b596-37ba7ddff0be", "075bf22c-6261-4dc4-9795-83374ff83495"] } headers = { "Content-Type": "application/json" } response = requests.post(url, json=payload, headers=headers, auth=("", "")) print(response.json()) ``` ```javascript const url = 'https://api.fastpix.com/v1/cloud-playout/channels/cc99cae6-56b4-46ab-9f4a-8b2462d8137c/programs/d85083a0-e935-4c29-9c32-6720bdc9b22f/media';
